Good concept, and nice proportions. The shading is accurate and i honestly have no bad critique about this =)

This is a beautiful piece of artwork. I always love horses' eyes - they can convey so much emotion.

I like it. You did a nice job. I am not very good with charcoal... or people for that matter.

I think the ear might be a hair to small and a hair set to far forward.

I see what you mean about the hair and I will adjust it. As far as the ear goes the cowboy in real life has small ears so I made them the same size as they are in the photo. Thanks again for the great comment!

thanks! I agree eyes are what engages the viewer and sells a piece. That is why I put the eye in the center of the sketch of "Shooter".
