This is a charcoal portrait of my baby, Freckles. I help birth her June 5, 1995. She is a begal mix with pure cocker. This sketch is not for me though. It is a Christmas gift for my brothers family since she has made a place in their hearts for her. She will be leaving with me in March to move out west and more than likely will not return to New York. Since she is now 13 & 1/2. I know that my brother's family will certainly miss her far more than they will miss me.

Please excuse if you fave this and I don't thank you. I am really busy right now. I can respond to comments left but it takes me too long to go everyones page and leave a thank you comment. I hope you will understand that a really appreciate each and every fave, and value your opinons. I have learned quite from others making comments. Thank you, I am very pleased with it for sure. It came out better than I expected and hoped it would. I had to do well on her at least.

I like how you did the texture and colour of the fur

This was mostly by accident the way ti turned out. But I am glad it turned out as well as it did. She is my baby and I could not live with myself if it didn't turn out well!
